Beckett had purchased the car and was looking to restore the car. Around this period. Bob Schaffner of the Phantom III society had located an original and untouched. all aluminum. J. S. Inskip Limousine body that was mated to the chassis of Dr. Becketts car. When completed. the car was so nice that Mr. Schaffner then purchased the car! Presently the PIII features the one off aluminum body by J. S. Inskip. and is finished in jet black. The paintwork that is deep and highly polished to a mirror finish. The aluminum body is adorned with very subtle scalloped rear wings. and the absence of the center divider. which is extremely rare. The swooping exterior is complemented by the exceptional brightwork that covers a great deal of the car. All including the grillwork. flying lady. Lucas headlamps. wheel covers. and so on. The custom interior features a Black Leather Chauffers compartment. and an Amethyst cloth rear passenger area with woodwork by Madera throughout. The lack of a divider truly sets the car apart from others.
