1938 Pontiac. Deluxe 8 . Business Coupe. Very clean. original unmolested condition. Straight 8 runs cool and clean and is very quiet. 3 Spd on column shifts well. Interior appears to be all original except for new floor mat. Seat has a seat cover which I was told was put on when car was new. Has original canvas curtains behind seats to conseal storage bins and spare tire. Headliner and door panels appear original and are in decent condition. Clock has been replaced with quartz electric unit which looks original but keeps good time. Radio is the same one that the news of Pearl Harbor came over in 1941 and still plays. Heater blows hot and gauges work well minus the fuel level which acts lazy. Car has almost no rust. nbsp;that I have found. Paint has some chips and cracks but is shiny and looks good from a few feet away. Grille and bumpers appear to have been replated and are in very good condition down to the Pontiac emblem on the rear bumper. Glass is in good shape except for quarter windows which have some fogging. I have the new rubber gaskets for these if you wish to replace them. Running boards appear solid but have some cracks in rubber. Tires are Allstate with good tread and in good condition for age. I have owned car for about six months. In that time I have replaced door and trunk seals. muffler. clock. rear shocks and tidied up the engine compartment. I drove car to lunch today and it did well for a 77 year old original car. I have had it up to 70 mph on the interstate and it had more but I haven't seen new Allstate tires in quite a few years. Motor pulls down low and has good torque. Someone needs to buy this time capsule before I get a wild hair and make an exceptional street rod out of it. There's an awful lot of room under that long hood. You can call me with any questions at 804 356 6155. preferably after 6pm edst. Bill
