Description of 1969 Lincoln Continental CONTINENTAL BASE |
I am regretfully selling my 1969 Lincoln Continental. It starts and runs. but runs poorly. it has been sitting on my back lot for over a year. The brakes are out. but They have been out for over a year. that's why the car has been sitting. When I purchased it. I installed a new carb. starter. did a major tune up. and had it running like a top. I used to drive it on the back roads to my neighbors house (about 2 miles) every weekend. The brakes went out. and I parked it. and there it sits. This car has great potential. Most parts are there. I believe all that's missing is the C. O. N. T. I. N. E. N. T. A. L. on the front hood. the continental scripts on the rear quarter panels. the badge/lock on the trunk. and the turndown on the rear top trip piece. I fooled around with the windows for a few days. they are kind of hit and miss like a short. or maybe the relays. The front windows are slow. kind of like dirty tracks. the front passenger window has some jerry rigged wiring. The a/c compressor needs re sealed for the a/c to work. The bottom line is. it is a 46 year old car. but it is an amazing foundation for a resto/mod. or someone could probably fix the brakes and drive it. I've moved and expanded my business. and have no time for projects. I hate to see it sitting on the back lot. it'll just get ruined if someone doesn't love it. |
