1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible

Viva Las Vegas Autos Presents . . .

A very beautiful 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible Four Door. First of all, these highly collectible classic luxury cars are getting harder and harder to find. Finding one that does NOT have any rust, now that is a needle in the hay stack for sure.

Finding one that has a functional convertible top? That's getting tougher and tougher too. Finding one that you can be proud to drive but not so much of a museum piece that you'll only wan t to see it on a collection floor and never driven... that's even more difficult to find. So, here we are presenting a very nice driver quality car that isn't museum perfect, but it is totally solid, rust free, drives exceptionally well and is very functional.

Viva Las Vegas Autos Known History . . .

Vintage 60s Lincoln Continental Convertibles don't fall onto our doorstep every day of the year, in fact if I even see a nice one once or twice every few years, I feel pretty lucky. This 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible came to me from a very good friend and local restaurant owner. I have been frequenting his Sushi restaurant for years. He has always loved my classic cars and always hoped to buy one from me. About four years ago, I had just finished a restoration on a 1963 Lincoln

Continental Convertible and he was very excited about it. Problem was, so was another buyer who pulled the trigger on the purchase quicker than my friend did. So, about a year later, my friend reluctantly called me to tell me about his purchase of this 1966 Lincoln Continental. Reluctantly because he spent enough money at another associates recommendation to buy a museum quality Continental but in reality, really got an upper quality driver car that needed power top and window repairs. The other reason he called me was his first choice for a 60 luxury American convertible had always been a 60s Cadillac Convertible. So, he asked me if i could help him market this car so he could get his desired Caddy.

Viva Las Vegas Autos Preparations for Marketing and Conditional Assessment. . .

Vintage 60s Lincoln Continental Convertibles are exceptional classic collectible almost in any condition. So when I come upon one, some of the first things I look for are RUST! So common is rust on these units that finding one without any is quite a treat. The car appeared to have an older refurbishing that included a full paint job with a quality ration of about 6-7 out of 10. It was very obvious that all the metal was original and solid. It is a NO WRECK classic. There was no lower panel replacements or major repairs that we could perceive. The body appears exceptionally straight and solid from top to the floors underneath. Yes, we get all of our cars on the lifts so we can thoroughly inspect the metal underneath. We don't stop there though. A 3000 PSI heated power wash session cleans an undercarriage to really reveal true history and leaks if any. It also allows us to see suspension parts and needed repairs if any. Most important though is upon completion of an undercarriage cleaning, we thoroughly photograph the underbelly so you the buyer can really see what you are getting. We also recommend to our seller or on our own cars, that they invest a few dollars in what we call returnable investments. In this case, we recommended that the convertible top and power windows be repaired to work properly and function for the new buyer. For those who know these cars, the power tops are quite tricky and taken to the wrong shop, can cost thousands upon thousands to get functional. Eben then, most shops won't touch them or even know how. We do and we have had success in doing so. Once you see the video, you'll concur, we were successful achieving full function of the top and power windows. That means you won't have to worry about it and spend thousands trying to get it to work...and even better, you may never find someone in your neck of the woods who knows who to. You just get to enjoy it functional. We also spent the summer driving this car to our top repair facility and this car drives great. Doesn't overheat even on the hottest of days here in Las Vegas. We were pretty excited about that. Now we didn't bother with repairing the air conditioning even though it is all there. Figured that most of my buyers don't always care about AC and if they do, it's a fairly simple thing to find repair facilities to get that job done if needed. Aside from those items, the car is quite functional and fun to drive. Detailed out as best a it could be and not trying to make it sound like it's perfect by any means, we are very confident in saying that this 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible is a confidence inspiring driver that should deliver a lot of joy and appreciation from its owners and those who see it functioning down the road with the top down and the sun on your shoulders. Hopefully the 173 highly detailed and meaningful images within our presentation will give you confidence in what you are getting for your winning bid or winning offer that you call us with.

Viva Las Vegas Autos Deal Making Terms . . .

Before you email me that awful question, "what's your reserve or bottom line", take a moment understand how to make a deal on eBay. Make a serious offer! This is an Auction, NOT a Classified.

I can already tell you that I want the most capable buyer who is willing to make a serious deal, but that won't happen if you are not willing to make an offer. If you just want to get an idea what the real national market values on average cars across the U.S. then look at the book values I've posted and my suggested price listed right on that book sheet. That will tell you what I am using to judge the value of this vehicle. But please consider this, you are not looking at an AVERAGE vehicle. I don't sell average vehicles, I want the best that can be found...average vehicles can be found anywhere in the U.S. I am always on the hunt for well above average vehicles, the "needle in the haystack" cars and trucks...and I can't buy them for average or less than values and neither will you. So, if you want a top shelf vehicle that stands out from the rest, place your bid or call me with a fair and intelligent offer.

Real buyers with serious offers in mind, either bid and they almost always call us. They almost always want to talk to the person in charge; that's me. I want to talk to you too and help you own this awesome vehicle. It keeps me in business. So, if you want a fantastic vehicle like you see here, one that is far above the average in condition, serviced and documented like this, simply call. Asking through email for my bottom line? Well, I just think you're not too serious or willing to make an offer; makes it a waste of my time and yours. If you just want to know what the market value is, do what we do, look at the vehicle closely and try to find another just like it with similar rarity and documentation. If you can't find one, just decide what it is worth to you to own it. That is what I did and all we can hope for is that you offer a bit more than I did so I can stay in business. Most important though, since you "are" a serious and capable buyer, call me and let's talk. I don't wear a Plaid Coat, I don't talk really fast and I am the guy in charge, the owner, enthusiast and purveyor of some of the finest cars on the Internet...not to mention the best thorough presentations. No matter what your offer is, high or low, all I can do is say yes or no...but no offer will get you no where...so get serious and let's talk turkey.

Viva Las Vegas Autos Note from the Owner. . .

I am a "used car dealer" but before that, I'm an automobile enthusiast. I love original, rare and high quality modified vintage and modern cars. Over the past 15 years I've been in business, I have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles as well. I specialize in and I am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners.

I have an experienced eye for quality and I've discovered that my preferred buyers can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the buyer, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won't do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.

With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a "dealership" like mine may be at a first glance. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner. First we do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and hope nothing escapes our methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly "right" will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about Viva Las Vegas Autos. Moreover; it allows us to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless we think it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction so you don't get a headache over the vehicle.

After the vehicle is fully checked over and made whole at any level it needs to be, we researches its history, documents documenting originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 200 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I've developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they meticulously clean. Reconditioning can sometimes take several as we do all that we can within reason to get our vehicles in tip top condition visually and cosmetically. Way more than just a cheap detail....Our details are more like refurbishing to as close to new as we can possibly get our vehicles

Usually, I'll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it's a fast car, we film it going fast. If it's a 4x4 you'll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch gauges operational as well.

No "dealer, "? on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase that my vehicle is for real and what I say is an honest assessment. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact.I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it.

If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offerserious, you'll find me the most accommodating business partner you've ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or "what is my bottom line" I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually make an offer, I will happily quote you a liberal suggested retail price - a number we both know will not buy the car so, don't waste your time, or mine. I am after all, a "used car dealer.”

Free and clear title is in seller's possession and will be transferred upon payment in full and accepted delivery of the automobile. By Nevada State Law, Dealers have up to 30 days to delivery titles due to auction and floorline title housing.

Important: Winning bidders for automobile transactions are not obligated to purchase nor is the seller obligated to sell to any winning bidder according to eBay's policies, see ( pages.ebay.com/help/policies/non-binding-bid.html ). Bidders that win an auction and then do not pay, spoil the integrity of the eBay experience and cause sellers to incur additional costs and losses due to the non-paying bidders negligence and disregard for honest dealings. If you win this auction and we collect your non-refundable deposit via credit card, Paypal or any other means, you agree to waive your right to claim your deposit back with any arbitration to your bank, credit card issuer or PayPal.

If you do not intend to complete this purchase, DO NOT BID.

If your User ID contact information is not up to date on eBay, DO NOT BID until your correct it. We cancel bids when we find contact information invalid.

If you bid just to see what a reserve is then cancel your bid, we will immediately cancel your ability bid on any of our auctions in the future.

We want to have a very positive experience on eBay, just like you do. Don't use eBay as your playground to bid without responsibility or commitment. eBay's auction system promotes irresponsible bidders because there is no accountability whatsoever as there is for sellers. Most bidders never have any real intention to complete any transaction but we do as responsible sellers, so don't play irresponsibly online, we don't.

We will happily do whatever is required to assist a legitimate bidder that intends to purchase the vehicle with their transaction.

This vehicle may have dings, scratches or other indications of use because it has been used. Terms such as "perfection," "flawless" or "mint" may not be subjective but all other descriptions are.
