Description of 1979 Lincoln Mark Series

Ireduced the priceby $2,500. Very rare 1979 Lincoln Mark V St Tropez pickup only 12 were converted that year by American Custom Coachworks Ltd. out of Beverly Hills,CA in business from 1953-2003. The car was in the last owners family since 1982 and they bought it from a family friend who bought it new for I believe around $24,000.The car has 21,400 original miles according to the last owner. The car is pretty much all original including the paint, the body does have some surface rust in several spots but no rust through. It could use a touch up or a repaint if so desired. The originalinterior is very nice including a crack free dash, glass and nice leather seats and carpet. The spare is in a compartment behind the seats with an electric opening door. The car is powered by a 400/2V, power steering, brakes, seats, windows, cruise control, a/c, tilt wheel, am/fm with an 8 track player, power antenna, Cartier clock, digital miles to empty readout, 4 wheel disc brakes. Overall the car is in very good condition except for the paint. Recenttune-up, including new spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, air filter and breather element and a oil change and filter. I rebuilt the carburetor, it has new Hankook Optimo 225/75/15 tires and an alignment was done, replaced horns, new battery cables, new brake master cylinder, new shocks. The car runs, rides, shifts, and handles very nice, It has a white vinyl roof that's hard to see in the pictures in good shape. The only known issues are the a/c blows cool, but not cold, itprobably just needs R12 recharging, the cruise isn't working as far as I know, and the front radio speakers aren't working, but the rear do, I think theissue isin the radio.Original owners manual with protect-o-plate included and a description sheet from the conversion company. I doubt if you'll seeanother of these being 39 years old and it was a very limited production. You'll definitely have the only one at acruise in, cars and coffee,or car show that's for sure.I had it at a family picnic last Sunday and it was a big hit, people walking past the car stopped to take pictures or tolook at it. So far I located 3 others, one in Canada, one in New Jersey, and one in Florida. With a nice paint job, this car would probably be a $25,000 car.
