Description of 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car

The Lincoln Continental was a long running full size luxury car and the fifth generation was introduced in 1970 and holds the title for the longest car ever produced by the Ford Motor Company. Still using a body on frame design, the new Continental was a bit narrower but just as imposing as the earlier model. The cars mated a 400 or 460cid V8 with an automatic transmission and were touted as the last traditional large American sedan. GR Auto... Gallery is pleased to present this massive 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe for your consideration. This large sedan is fitted with all the toys and has the 400cid V8, four wheel power disc brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, air conditioning, power antenna, power mirror, cassette player and much more. The exterior is finished in Dark Red and the body is straight and the paint quality is good overall. There is a bit of clear coat peel and stone chips on the front clip. The car also has the traditional vinyl top, wire wheel covers, white wall tires, and the imposing radiator grill. The interior is very nice and comfortable place to be and features the bucket seat option as well as maroon leather. Another neat feature is the Lincoln logo etched into the rear opera windows. Now on its third owner, this car had been very well cared for and received lots of service work. The car got new plugs, new gas tank and other fuel system fixes, tune ups and other general maintenance. The car comes with two keys as well as the original owners manual.
