Gavenchy

UP FOR BID: 1987 Lincoln Continental Gavenchy. This car runs fine, is comfortable, but has some issues. The transmission was rebuilt and the radiator was replaced when the car had about 98,000 miles.

It has a "salvage" title because the previous owners (my wife's parents bought it new) had a fabric carport frame damage the paint in a windstorm (see pictures) and, at the time, the car's value was less than the cost of a re-paint, so the insurance company totaled it and they bought it back.

In the interest of full disclosure, the car's "climate control" system doesn't work. When it's turned on, the heater works,but can't be turned up or down. No matter what temperature the system is set to, only the heater comes on, the air conditioner doesn't. The fuel gauge works, but the computer will show inaccurate "miles to empty". The "check anti-lock brakes" light is on all the time, but the brakes work fine. The left-rear window mechanism doesn't work (broken gear). The front door "stays" are broken.

Buyer is to pay $200 deposit using PayPal within 48 hours of auction end and balance within 7 days of auction end using cash in person, cashiers check, or personal check. Title and car will be released upon any check used clearing the bank.
