Description of 1991 Lincoln Town Car signature series

Runs, drives, stops excellent. 20 mpg on the freeway. Passes California smog. Body is straight. Rear air bag suspension has been modified with coil springs so no more compressor or air bag problems ever. Digital dash functions as it should. Driver and passenger 10 way seats both work properly (fore, aft, tilt front and rear, recline, lumbar). All power windows and locks work well. Trunk large enough for a small family, seating inside for a large family. Aftermarket am/fm/cd player. All wheels and caps are present and in good shape. power trunk release works well. Comes with a car cover.
Comfortable, dependable, and powerful, ready for a cross country trip any time.
Leather seats are rough and the headliner material was removed (it was sagging) carpet could benefit from being cleaned. a/c does not work, I have not tried to charge it. The clear coat is peeling on the passenger side rear of the trunk area.
This car was well maintained prior to me getting it a year ago. It had been set up with a lot of adaptive equipment so the owner that had limited ability could open the doors, start, and shift it with the touch of a button. All that was removed and installed in a low mileage 1994 town car so this one could be retired. That said, the owner had taken exemplary care of this town car while she owned it because of all the specialty equipment she required to operate it. Regular oil changes and attention to all the items it needed over the years. Eventually though it had gotten a leak in the suspension and she had to wait a bit for it to air up each day before driving. A few of the windows were failing to work. Then the a/c went out at the same time she had found the low mileage replacement.
I transferred the equipment, put in the coil springs, and repaired the windows.
This is a fun land boat to cruise as is. Probably a lot to return it to the original luster but could be a great donor to someone keeping a similar cousin to it in perfect shape. Or a project show car for the right person that appreciates a well built cruiser.
The vehicle is for sale locally so the auction may be ended at any time.
