Description of 1965 Other Makes Westfield Lotus Seven SEi

LOTUS WESTFIELD SEVEN (SEi) BUILT in 1995 and registered as 1965. Dark Green Coachwork with Tan Interior. top and cockpit cover. This is a factory built and authorized replica of the Westfield SEi Seven from England. Imported To Westfield Cars of North America. This turnkey sports car cost $26. 00 new. Currently has only 2050 miles and has been garaged since new. It has never been in an accident or damaged in any way. a Ford 1700cc Kent crossflow with twin Weber DCOE 151 carburetors with five speed transmission (overdrive 5th. ) The Ford Kent engine was used extensively in England for street cars and for racing. most notably Formula Ford race cars. used by both the Bondurant and Skip Barber Racing Schools in the US. A detuned version of the Kent engine was also used in some Ford Fiestas and even Pintos. and parts are readily available. The rear end is based on an independent rear suspension system which uses the Ford Sierra “B” type differential with Westfield drive shafts and wishbones. Four wheel disc brakes. front and rear suspension are adjustable double wishbone with adjustable coil over shocks. TOYO Proxes FZ4 P195/50 R15 tires mounted on PRIME Seven spoke alloy wheels. The spare is full size and has matching tire. Gauges included are Speedo. Tachometer. temp. fuel and oil pressure. Two speed heater. two speed wipers. and window washer. Four-point seat belt harnesses. Tan top has never been used on the car. The car also has a tonneau cover (flat cockpit cover) that can be half-opened so that just the driver’s side is open. The side curtains/doors slip into the sides of the windshield post and provide excellent wind blockage. Trunk stores top and frame mechanism and still has room for storage. Fiberglass body set on tube frame with all aluminum underpinnings. Interior professionally done and all assembly done correctly. This car weighs only 1350 pounds. The car was owned by one other person before me – I purchased it in 2002. It was hand-built in Oregon in 1995 by Bob Yarwood. a former Rolls-Royce Aircraft engineer from the UK. He imported and built a lot of them to spec for customers. The motor has two twin-choke 40 DCOE 151 Weber carburetors.
