VINTAGE RACE - DOHC - LOTUS ENGINE and TRANS

WhatI amselling is the TWIN CAMENGINE and TRANSMISSION (ONLY) - NO CAR / NO TITLE.Ibelieve this to be a 1962/1963 vintage original motor and transmission out of a Lotus Cortina. The engine number is P6136LB-A. This engine and transmission has been out of the car and in good storage for the last 20+ years. Routinely, t has been spun over and oil kept in the cylinders. I bought this engine and transmission to use in a vintage race Elva Courier, hat came to me minus its original (MGA 1600) engine and transmission. I felt this would be a great upgrade. Since then, was able to purchase its original components, ence no need to hang on to the Lotus stuff. When I purchased this Lotus engine and transmission, t was from its long time owner. I was told that the motor ran fine and had low hours on an overhaul. Further, was told that before using it, should have the water pump overhauled. Apparently, hat is a bit ofa job and is best done with the motor out of the car. So there you have it! I am selling it AS-IS, ith the information provided all given to the best of my knowledge and mostly based on how I purchased it. It has what appears to be its original dual throat Weber carburetors, eaders, nd its air box. The transmission is supposed to be is good useable order. The motor shows no prior freeze cracks, elds or visible damage. I bought it from a former high school shop teacher, ho seemed to take great pride in storing properly and religiously sticking to a routine of keeping it well oiled and spinning it over with its starter (and, hot battery) every six months.
