This 1969 Lotus Seven is the best restored we’ve ever seen. and the best driving we’ve ever taken on the road. It was completely restored by Super 7 Cars Inc. in Chemainus BC - the only Authorised Caterham Super 7 manufacturer in Canada and an expert on the real Lotus Seven cars. The previous owner told us he spent over $30. 00 on the restoration. Like many original Sevens. it does have some Caterham parts. installed when restored. There aren’t many Lotus Sevens in completely original condition anymore. We are told this is a two-owner car from new. and classic car guru. Rudi Koniczek. in Victoria BC. claims to remember working on this car in the mid-1970s (there weren’t that many of them on the island back then). The engine was upgraded to a Lotus twin-cam with dual weber carbs. The sound and performane is exhilerating. The reviews and videos online don’t lie; the Seven is. to this day. one of the most insane supercars ever designed. It’s light and rides likea CART race car on the streets. Lotus are famous for their handling and the Seven evolved from their race cars. Colin Chapman designed a car that is now legendary. This Third Generation Lotus Seven is the last successful evolution of his design and arguably the most beautiful. The fourth series was a bit of a failure and the rights to build the car were sold to Caterham. who still manufacture them today.
