Description of 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata

CAR: 1993 Mazda MX-5 MiataCOLOR: Mariner BlueVIN: JM1NA3512P0412257
REALITY CHECKI will not be selling this car for less than the starting bid. If it doesn't sell, will keep it, tore it over the winter and sell it in the Spring when Miata prices are higher. I have spent much more than the asking price in the last two years alone. If you can find a Miata as clean and as solid as this one for the price I'm asking, ou should buy immediately.
WINNING BIDDERI will pick up the winning bidder from either the Salt Lake International Airport, r the Provo Airport if they wish. If you have zero or low ebay feedback, lease explain why in an email to me.
SUMMARYThis has been a very fun project car for me. I'm a 44 year-old serious car enthusiast. I've owned mostly German cars, ut the Miata is a must own, ucket list car. I never race my cars, r abuse them in anyway. To ensure quality, like to do my own service, epairs and modifications, xcept for the jobs where specialized professional equipment is needed.
Regardless what knuckle-draggers might say, his is one of the purest sports cars ever built. Front engine, ear wheel drive, imited slip differential, our wheel disc brakes, nline twin overhead cam engine, anual transmission, uper direct steering, ight and nimble, nd, f course, ts a Roadster. Plus, his car is as reliable as a power tool. And finally, ost of these NA Miatas are now owned by men, eal men who like to carve canyons and who understand what 'adding lightness' means.
This MX-5 Miata needs nothing, ut given that this is a Miata, he most popular roadster of all time, nd the most raced private car in the world, he possibilities are endless. Read on for a list of everything I have fixed and very tastefully modified on this car.
All of the work below was done in the last 15,000 miles:
EXTERIORNew Mariner Blue, igh-quality paint with clear coat: this was the single largest investment I have made in this car. Many, any hours were invested fixing dings all around with the best materials. This was a $5,000 paint job (on this pint-sized car). I actually have not had the paint rubbed out because I like the way it looks and wanted to keep the coating as thick as possible. If you want it rubbed out, 'd recommend driving it home first, hen finding a good shop to do it for you.New R front spoiler;New stubby radio antenna;New & improved windshield washer jets and hose;

IMPERFECTIONSI'm not claiming this is a perfect car. Very clean and well-sorted, es. A blast to drive, es. A head-turner that gets attention wherever I go, bsolutely. However, here are a few things to take note of:- Having driven the car a few thousand miles with the new paint job, here are small paint chips on the front bumper. They are all minor blemishes. There are also minor waves where repaired dings are not perfectly smooth, ut these are minor.- The driver's seat bottom cushion's side bolsters have seen better days. I performed a foamectomy (popular with these seats), hich allows you to sink into the seat bottom more, aking the seat quite comfortable and supportive. If you want to buy a brand new seat bottom cushion, ou still can from Mazda.- The shifter pops out of first gear about half the time if you don't hold it in. I just hold it in, hich is fairly natural given you don't drive in first gear as you shift into second to continue forward progress. The transmission is strong and feels good otherwise.- There is a hairline fissure in the dash that is barely noticeable. I've kept it well-moistened with vinyl treatment and the dash looks very good. Were I to keep the car, would probably get a SuedeMat to reduce glare and protect the dash.
