Description of 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE

1985 Gsl-Se Mazda Rx7. Good condition. runs strong. This is the special edition and considered by many to be the most reliable and best Rx7 ever made! 13b powerplant is larger than the regular Rx7 of the year. Factory fuel injection. larger 4 wheel disc brakes. larger wheel bearings. 14" wheels with larger more common bolt pattern. Redesigned suspension geometry. and special 4. 077 rear end ratio. Clutch type LSD came standard. More durable transmission. Came with all the factory options like sunroof. power windows. This one shows well with a decent (not great) repaint of the original color done 7 years ago. I took as many close up pics as I could to show that the paint job is not really professional. It was a Maco paint job and the body sanding was done by my father who is not a professional. I think it still looks good. but to a collector it will need a full repaint. The price reflects this since perfect GSL-SE Rx7 go for over $8. 00. Do not expect to get a $8000 dollar Rx7 for less than 3700. Please be realistic. Wheels have been professionally refinished and seriously look better than new. They are wrapped in new bridgestone tires that work in the rain or dry with lots of grip. Fresh tokico HP blue shocks. Racing beat header exhaust system adds 20hp over stock. while a K+N air filter help gain 5hp. Brings this example to 160hp which is quite fun. Rare duck tail spoiler was added to the rear and a nice front chin lip spoiler was added in the front. Interior is near mint condition very rare to find. Now it does have 217. 00 miles on it but the Gsl-Se is known for trucking on forever. Compression is 118psi on all faces front and rear. Brand new these do 120psi if that gives you an idea of condition. I'd trust to go anywhere and often take it on long road trips. Only rust spot I found allover the body and underbody is the one rocker panel which I took a pic of. It was a Georgia car and is really solid. Runs perfect but sometimes on throttle tip-in or quick stabs it has a studder. Pretty sure the TPS sensor needs calibration or replaced. I know for a fact it is something minor and some people would not even notice it. I'm being very upfront about everything I can. That being said its a 30yr old car will have typical things that wear out and might need replaced at some point. Its a good running driving Rx7Thanks. good luck bidding!!
