Description of 1984 Mazda RX-7 GS

* 1984 MAZDA RX7 GS COUPE * * ONLY 91K Miles * * 5 Speed, 2 Owner Car * * ZERO RUST!! *
Before you and up for bid is my 1984 MAZDA RX7 GS Coupe. I am thorough in my description for the benefit of all potential buyers. The particulars of the RX7 are as follows:
* A two owner car since new, both were rotary enthusiasts. The first purchased it new anddrove it approximately 72k until 1996. The second was retired military, and drove the car less than 20k miles during the past 21 years.
* Always garaged and pampered, CARFAX certified, NO ACCIDENT history. While the car was ZIEBART rustproofed when new, the car was not a winter use car. It is entirely solid and GUARANTEED to have ZERO RUST!! The Ziebart additionally acts as sound proofing thus the car is quieter.
* Very low, 91,525 actual miles!
* It's not that the RX7 is clean, it has never really been allowed to get dirty. In advance of the sale, the car has just been fully detailed.
* Original 1.1 liter Rotary engine...pull the choke pump the gas lightly and it fires to life every time. Holds a smooth idle and sounds as it it should. In advance of the sale, recent service includes all fresh fluids, filters, belts, hoses, alternator, battery, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. The engine has approx 125 psi warm compression.
* The variable assist steering is till tight, these cars are nimble and handle great!
* GS trim level appointments
* Ice Cold AC
* 5 Speed manual transmission, shifts smoothly throughout the range as well as into reverse.
* Adult owned...NEVER MODIFIED or ABUSED!
* Power Mirrors, operable

* Factory removable sunroof with interior sunshade, excellent weather gasket storage bag included

* Very good door panels, however, the upper vinyl on both doors has shrunk. This is common and easily rectified inexpensively with new vinyl sections by any decent upholsterer.
* Perfect Dash, NO CRACKS!

* The car was caught in light hail this past Spring, the removable roof and hood with its thinner metal sustained minor dings. No insurance claim was made, the paint less dent repair was estimated to be approx. $300.00. The deductible would have been $500.00.(see pics)
* The lower front valance apron, these became rubber in 1984, is scuffed.
* The rear cargo area carpet was subjected to sun fade. It is present as are the factory cargo straps. Replacements are inexpensive and readily available. Also easily addressed by having a piece of carpet cut using the existing carpet for a template.

At 35 model years of age, the RX7 looks, runs and drives great! These cars were and are significant and are finally receiving the respect they deserve.
Nice, non-abused examples are becoming increasingly difficult to source. Get yourself a good one while they are still affordable. The most paramount aspect to these cars is finding one that is rust free...you're looking at one.
I have been a rotary enthusiast for almost 40 years, both cars and ultra light aircraft. Nothing is as smooth and delivers power like a rotary.
The RX7 never fails to garner nice compliments and the "thumbs up". It is an affordable, reliable classic sports car that is inexpensive to own and maintain. It is easily a daily driver.
You are bidding to purchase the Rx7, not to be the first to "look at it". Thank you.
Please have your funding in place prior to placing your bid. Thank you.
Please consult with your spouse, therapist, pet, or MAGIC 8-Ball, prior to placing your bid, as I am not running a clinic for the confused. Thank you.
Inspections are welcome and will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding.
The car and I are presently located in S.W. Florida. (Naples/Ft. Myers vicinity)
Transportation/delivery are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I own a single transport Hodges Hauler. Delivery is available anywhere in the lower 48 states for $1000.00. (non-negotiable)
I will gladly assist to coordinate with your chosen shipper.
I am fully confident that the Mazda could be driven home safely to anywhere in America.If you choose to "fly in" and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the S.W. International Airport in Ft. Myers, or the regional airport in Punta Gorda.
I have set a reasonable and fair reserve for the RX7. DO NOT ask me what the reserve is as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the very nice, solid low mileage 1984 Mazda RX7 GS Coupe that you see before you.
A $1000.00 initial payment is due and payable within 24 hours of auction close VIA PayPal. NO Exceptions!
The balance is to then be paid within 7 days thereafter under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer VIA a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer, as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties.
If you are to fly in and drive home or arrive to trailer the car for yourself, I will accept cash in person for the balance provided that it is done so within the 7 days of auction close window.
Clear Colorado title. The title and the car will not be released until payment in full has been received. Upon receipt of payment in full, I will overnight VIA FEDEX, the title and bill of sale to the new owner. If you are to fly in I will offer the option of hand delivering these to you upon your arrival. If you require some additional time to scheduloe your travel arrangements, I will work with you to keep the car secure provided that the car has been paid for in full.
I DO NOT accept PayPal for the entire purchase. Only the initial $1000.00 payment.
** If you are "new" to ebay, have 0% feedback, excessive negative feedback, lengthy inactivity despite being a long term member, or less than 15 transactions, you will need to CALL ME prior to placing your bid and express your intentions. (convince me that you're legitimate) If you do not call me prior, your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from further bidding. This is to preserve the integrity of the auction for the legitimate buyers. All too often, individuals will bid and win auctions with no intention of fulfilling their purchase commitment. If you do not have the integrity to fulfill your purchase commitment, simply do not bid...just move on. I am a legitimate seller simply seeking a legitimate buyer. I will not waste your time, please do not waste mine or that of any other sincere eBay members.
eBay provides for 24 pictures. I have selected pictures that best present a concise overview of the car. If you would like any area specific pictures, simply ask for them.
I am not a dealer, I am a collector/hobbyist. Since 2007, I have sold more than 30 of my personal vehicles through eBay. Almost all have had their expectations exceeded. Where collector vehicles are concerned, condition is open to interpretation. I am thorough in order for one to make an informed decision, no one likes surprises. I have represented the RX7 accurately and honestly.
Given the age of the car, by bidding you acknowledge your understanding that the car is being sold in "as is" condition with no expressed, written or otherwise implied warranties.
Buyers from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand are welcome and encouraged to bid with confidence. If the car is sold to an international buyer, I am available for reasonable expenses with my aforementioned hauler to get the Mazda to the requisite port.
I answer my phone quicker than I respond to e-mail. call me directly with any questions.
I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time, as the vehicle is being marketed in other forums.
If you wish to discuss a "buy it now", call me and present your offer. DO NOT call me and ask, "what's the lowest that you'll take?" Often I will end an auction early, it simply is initiated by a phone call.
As mentioned, these RX7's are significant in automotive history. They have bottomed out and are climbing in value. First generation RX7's are fun to drive and own...great handling, sporty and lightweight. I have priced this example fairly and it won't break the bank.
Good luck when you bid!
