Description of 1990 Mazda RX-7 TurboII |
| For Sale my 1990 Mazda Rx7 Turbo II. I will be honest I bought this car last year to make a fast and fun Daily Driver. Although it is Fast and fun I just don’t get the enjoyment out of it that I thought I would. For that reason I am selling. As stated it’s a 1990 Turbo II. it has 110XXX original miles on the car. Engine was rebuilt at 100K by well-known builder The Rotary Dr. All seals replaced as well as most vacuum lines. Car is well taken care of. has Redline oils in both transmission and rear differential and Mobil 1 in the engine. The Good: Full Tein Coil overs. car handles like it’s on rails Cusco Strut braces front and rear Rebuilt engine with less than ten thousand miles Full turbo back exhaust. 3 inch down pipe then turns into two. 2 inch pipes near the rear and 2 magna flow mufflers out of the rear New Turbo inlet duct (old one was cracked and leaking) Brand New Atkins Rotary Waterpump Rtek 1. 7 series ECU upgrade for safety of motor (deletes the Fuel Cut. allows bigger secondary injectors and removes accelerated warm up system) New Five O Motorsports 750cc secondary injectors Auto Meter Boost Gauge Auto Meter EGT Gauge (not hooked up currently) Mods: Emissions were fully deleted by previous owner. took out weight and the craziness that is the stock emissions system on the car. ( WILL not pass Emissions!) Power Steering and AC have been removed. Power steering rack has been looped and drives almost the exact same as a none power steering rack (much better road feedback) Interior has new Sparco Knock off steering wheel. /p> New shift boot to match the wheel New carbon fiber shift knob Exterior Body is pretty straight for a 25 year old car. paint is needing some attention. Stock Turbo II wheels Was Debagged by previous owner If taken down to metal and repainted would look amazing Interior Stock interior. carpet is in pretty good condition. door panels are in great condition NO CRACKS in the dash! Still shines up really nice Passenger OEM leather seat has no cracks Driver OEM leather seat has to cracks where you get in and out The Bad: Alright there has to be some bad. it’s a 25 year old car nothing is going to be perfect Body looks great from about 15 feet away but could really use a paint job. previous owner had a cheapo paint job done and its starting to really show on bumpers (paint is cracking and chipping) and right side of car needs to have previous Bondo job fixed. It really just needs to be sanded down to the metal and plastic and repainted. no major dents or issues Won’t pass emissions Check engine light is on ( Number 9 code) for Water Thermo sensor. needs to be replaced. It should have been replaced when water pump was taken off but forgotten. Anyone with experience with these cars could replace it in 15-20 minutes. I am just tired of working on this car as I have other projects so it has been done. ABS light comes on every now and then. no idea why but brakes grab amazingly so I never bothered with it. Stereo head unit doesn’t really work. Never bothered to mess with it because lets be honest. a Rx7 with a full exhaust is loud as it is. I like to listen to the Turbo more than the radio. Idles rough due. due to emissions delete and new Turbo Inlet duct. pretty common issue for any Rx7 really but figured I would add it. All in all this car is a good daily driver and is a blast to drive I really just don’t want to spend any more time on it. just like and performance car it takes some work every now and then and I don’t want to play with it anymore. (hand enough bloody knuckles for this year) On top of that the town that I live in is very congested and I just don’t get to open it up and have fun with it like I thought that I would. nothing more frustrating that living in a place with amazing roads to drive but people always going 5 under the speed limit on them. Would make an awesome daily driver or track car. Great toy just don’t want to play anymore. This car is sold AS IS. no warranty Buyer is responsible for shipping coordination and cost.
