Description of 1977 Replica/Kit Makes GT |
| 1977 Kelmark Dino Ferrari replica car with a 455 cubic inch olds Toronado engine and automatic transmission. Fiberglass body sits on a custom built tube steel frame (not on a VW tub). Front suspension is from an earlier Karmann Ghia. Heavy duty Corvair rear suspension with V8 coil springs. purchased from Clarks Corvair . air shocks. reinforced trailing arms with performance nylon bushings. also from Clarks Corvair. 455 engine is rebuilt with mild street cam. dual chain timing gear. Edelbrock 4 barrel with custom built headers and exhaust. Olds transmission is rebuilt with new torque converter. The three speed automatic shifts nice. Front disk brakes from a Karmann Ghia . rear drum brakes from Corvair - both sets rebuilt. Turn signals. brake lights. head lights. tail lights. marking lights are all working. Interior lights are workingSome dash lights are not working and the fuel gauge is currently not working. The gas tank is from a Corvair and is new. I also installed a three gallon auxiliary fuel cell (not hooked up). Body is fiberglass composition. very strong. nbsp; sanded and prepped with epoxy flat black primer. There will be some light body work required before finish coat can be applied. Some small chips etc. No major cracks. Car has interior heater installed but will need heater core replaced. It is currently by-passed. All the air-condition components are in place. but not working. The windshield wipers are working. The windshield is from mid seventies pinto and is brand new. The car has a brand new aluminum radiator. with a new aftermarket flex fan. and an auxiliary radiator from 74 Capri. Engine is also equipped with an auxiliary electric water pump. nbsp;remote oil filter. and engine oil cooler. Both the engine oil and the transmission oil cooler are electric fan cooled. The engine has 4 fans and two radiators; three are electric and the main engine fan is factory belt driven. All of the items I have described as new or rebuilt have less than two thousand miles on them. Tires are new and also have less than two thousand miles on them. Clear Colorado title registered in my name. No emissions test required in Colorado.
