Description of 1988 Mazda RX-7

For sale is one of the cleanest. 2 owner. sorted RX7s you will find this side of the planet. The car looks like brand new and not an expense was spared. or a cheap chinese part used. The body is ultra straight and rust free. The undercarriage was undercoated by the original owner prior to delivery and has never seen salt or snow. The car was purchased from Ohio in 1998 with 15. 00 miles on it from the original owner. My father held onto this car was I was in College and I took official ownership of it in 2001. Currently insured through Haggerty at $17. 00 and licensed as a historical vehicle in MI with authentic 1988 plates. On the exterior you will find the original bronze tinted glass. J-spec flash to pass llens. functional Mike L chin spoiler and Feed rocker extensions. I would rate this a 10/10The Interior is a 10/10 with silver face overlays on the factory gauges. Autometer boost. fuel pressure (electric) and EGT in a true carbon fiber center stack. The DASH controller. stereo and HVAC controls are also mounted in the stack. The steering wheel was replaced with a Grant D cut wheel and NRG quick release with spacer to make getting in and out easier. A short throw shifter and toggle switch for high/low boost finish the interior modifications. The engine is all original. stock port with a GT35 hybrid making 431 RWHP at 16 psi on 93 octane. I set boost around 10-13 lbs as it is honestly more fun to drive with a little less power. Controlled by Microtech LT12 with wideband option (in case a 3 rotor was in the future) with DASH unit and laptop dongleTuned by Chris at Banzai racing using 3D modeActual Greddy FMIC with custom hot side pipes to fit the GT35TIAL 40mm wastegate with dump tubeTIAL 50mm BOVTurbosmart 2 stage manual boost controller Aluminum #8an fuel lines to parallel #6 braided with Teflon (never have to replace) feed by an in-tank Bosch 044 . The stock 550s Injectors were rebuilt and flowed and the Bosch 1650s were gone through as well (new they can very 20% on flow and now are matched at their rating). Cooling is handled by a massive dual pass howe radiator and the factory oil cooler with -10an linesCar has functioning AC but the power steering and cruise control were removed. The car is riding on Basel rims (JDM) 17x8” and 17x9” with brand new conti DW tires. Corner movement is handled by racing beat sway bars. AGX shocks and eibach springs. The front also has the compressed height upper strut mounts (additional 1” drop without ride issues). Camber adjuster is installed on the rear. Ride is tight and firm. The brakes are crossed drilled with factory calipers painted red and Hawk HPS (minimal dust) pads all around. Additional upgrades include:-Relayed Sakebomb true bi-zenon HIDs-FD alternator (runs solid 14. 1-14. 5 volts)-Rear compartment battery relocation-Kill switch and charging terminals behind license plate (if you ever want to hit the drags)-Power door lock actuator on driver side and remote keyless added. Car includes original 10AE key. floor mats. steering wheel and wheels with tires. I will be very honest with this car. It is turn key and drive anywhere. Bear in mind this is a 26 year old vehicle. there are always a few things to tinker with. Known issues1) Slight leak from rear input seal. Have the seal to go with the car2) Slight leak at front AC line. AC was reinstalled 3 years ago and I can see a little film on the front fitting to the condensor. Runs R12. I have a 20lb cylinder that can go with the car3) Need to set high boost on the boost controllerThe car is a condition 2 which has an estimated value of $12. 00. The modifications. tuning. etc would be another $10. 00 if you do you own labor. I'm selling this to focus on finishing my house and Chevelle. This car is complete down to rubber covers for the strut tower and head light manual over rides. The 10AE also has the aero package which includes the aluminum under belly pan below the oil pan. Last checked compression was 120+ all the way around. Super strong motor.
