Description of 1985 Mazda 626 LX

For sale is the best condition mid-80's Japanese car you will find. It is a 1985 Mazda 626 LX Coupe with only 10. 00 original miles! This car was always kept in a garage. under blankets. so it is in mint condition!I aquired this car four years ago with approximately 8. 00 miles on it when the original owner passed away. I have put a couple thousand miles on it myself. but I am 6' 8" tall and 300 lbs. so I simply don't fit comfortably in it. It has mostly sat. so it is time for it to go. Two years ago I installed a new battery. and a new fuel pump. At that time I drove it a little. but it needed carb work. so I put it back in storage. This past August I took it out of storage and did some extensive work to get it road ready. There is a new aftermarket carburetor on it. It may still need some adjusting. but overall it is running very well. Occasionally it dies when I let off the gas. but not often. I think it needs some more adjustments. I had the radiator drained and flushed. and the brakes lines drained and flushed. Oil changed. I also installed a new gas tank since gas sat so long in the old tank that I believe there was a lot of residue in there. The car is in near mint condition inside and out. I have never seen a car this old in this condition. Everyone who sees it is amazed at the condition. Here are the few things I know to need attention on the car: - Cruise control doesn't work (most likely because of the aftermarket carb) - The antenna broke off. but is still functional - If I were going to make this a daily driver. the struts may need replaces soonI had the timing belt inspected and was told it is good. but that would be on my to-do list if I were keeping the car. Everything else works perfectly on the car. All power windows work great. I even had the Air Conditioner charged and it blew extremely cold air! It was 20 degrees out today. and the car started right up to go for a drive. Included in the sale will be the original carburetor and air cleaner. I also have a rebuilt OEM carburetor which will be included in case you want to restore the car to original. The color is a red/maroon. and the interior is an orangish beige (not sure what it's called. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car anywhere. I have put a couple thousand miles on the car myself completely trouble free. If you have any questions. please ask!Note: when I previewed the listing I looked at the Ebay auto report link. It says something about minor title issue. In the state of Iowa. once a car reaches a certain age mileage is no longer listed on the title. it's just left blank. Mileage on the car is 100% accurate.
