Description of 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This classic car is almost perfect! There's only one thing, inor in my opinion - the electric antenna motor needs replacement. The mast is new; it's just that you have to put it up and down manually. I'm leaving that fix to the next lucky owner. I like peace and quiet so I never use the sound systems in any of my cars. I'm probably in the minority.New battery - 5 Year Autozone with warranty. While replacing battery, cleaned the air filter housing and installed a new air filter. Replaced the turbo seal as well.Turbo-charged. This car has plenty of power and still gets great mileage. All gauges work, acuum locking system is perfect, unroof and electric windows all are perfect. The seats, oth front and rear almost appear never to have been used.As you can see from the pics, he spare wheel and tire are original and brand new. The trunk and glove box are pristine. Original took kit and jack have never been used.Selling for medical reasons - and I have too many cars! This car drives as nicely as the Lexus I normally drive.I've priced it below the "Average Retail" of the Nada Guide for a quick sale at a really reasonable price. According to the NADA website for classic cars, his car is worth $8600. Check out the following link to see what Average Retail means. I haven't done an exact tally of what I've invested in this car but it's close to or over $11K.nadaguides dot com - search for this make, odel and yearI doubt you'll find a nicer 300D! This car is 32 years old and got stares and compliments every time I drove it. It's been in storage (inside a weather-proof hanger) for a couple years. We took the pics after simply rinsing it off and towel drying it... no fancy detail work. Original paint and pinstripe.Current registration runs through December 2015. This car never needs to be smogged.

Recent all-points professional inspection - fluids, elts, V boots, verything. Oil and filter change at the same time.In the past month I've addressed all of the possible issues with the car... brand new Bilstein (OEM) front shocks, eplaced a/c expansion valve, harged and tested air conditioning, new engine hood insulation pad, eplaced all three climate control units, he pushbutton console (123 830 12 32), he fan speed unit (000 830 11 03) and the temperature control (000 822 10 03). The entire heating and air conditioning system is now perfect. Five speed blower works as it should and the a/c blows nice and cold.Right after I bought the car I had a new windshield wiper motor installed. It's a common problem for the tach to be in-op or intermittent. I just replaced the tach amp with a risc processor upgrade; now it's perfect.Cruise control works perfectly.30 MPG - REALLY!There's a nice after-market radio with a iPod plug. I have the original Becker but they're not very good; this one is in-op.This car has one of the best engines (5 cylinder diesel turbo) that Mercedes ever made. They've been known to go over a million miles without a rebuild. This one is just broken in at about 203K miles. Purrs along just like when it was new.Extras: 1) high-end car cover in new condition. This is a very nice car - completely ready to be your daily driver - not quite showroom condition. If it were "showroom" I'd be asking double this price or more. Non-smoking vehicle; there are no signs anybody has ever smoked in this car!

If you're in the local area I encourage you to make an appointment to inspect and drive this car. Otherwise, ou might consider having a professional appraiser do it. The car is stored in my hanger at the Paso Robles airport in California. It's over an hour round-trip drive for me from Morro Bay so, lease, o looky-loos.

You can fly commercially into San Luis Obispo and drive the car home or I can help you arrange shipping. If you have your own plane, aso is a great airport to visit.

I need to address my eBay feedback rating. For the many years that I've bought and sold here I've had 100% positive rating. Recently I got a completely undeserved negative, hich I disputed to no avail, nd eBay now calculates the percentage over the past year rather than all-time. I've had 438 positives andonenegative - that's a 99.77%positiverating overall.

Good luck and have fun bidding. If you have any questions or concerns please message me.
