1976 240D Mercedes.This 240 D Mercedes is a w115 240D. One of the last 115 body models built. Original delivery of this car was 11-76Ivory beige color (see pics) Good 240D. Good for restoration project. Solid engine starts every time even in cold weather. Transmission is in good shape. Engine runs very well, o unusual sounds or knocks, nly classic diesel Mercedes noise . Slight exhaust leak by muffler. This car is equipped with a good glow plug preheat pull ignition system, hich preheats and starts quickly indicating strong glow plugs. Engine compartment is clean with no oil leaksDriven on errands, hort 'round town pleasure cruises.This 240D drives and handles well, ood steerin, ood compression, rives well on the road.Thetransmission has been recently serviced with maintenance records included.Car has rust age spots, ust around sunroof and rear fender edges have rusting. (see pics for condition.) Nice original clean interior, ash has 2 in crack by radio speaker grill, ash covered with custom dash cover to protect, ooks good. The original Becker Europa radio works.The electric sunroof and passenger window work intermittently.Odometer reads 69,183.The a/c needs charging. One (old) small pebble peck on windshield. (see pic pointing to it) Peck has been there since I bought the car, he peck stable, ot cracking.Driven daily to Starbucks for my Venti, shot, lat White, hole milk, atte.I have to downsize and I'm driving a Smart Car, r I'd keep on driving this car to Starbucks.A little TLC to make this 240Da great classic ca, or a good price.
