Description of 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series E

I bought this car from a dealer many years ago. At the time, y check of Carfax had the mileage at 58,000 and the interior was immaculate. Right now, here is a an error in the eBay verification service showing the wrong mileage. It was a mistake made by a mechanic I used who didn't write down the odometer mileage before creating the inspection sticker. I never saw it on any official documents until now so I didn't make a big deal about it.
When I bought the car it had about 58,000 miles on it, nd since I've owned it, put on an additional 4,000 miles. Hence, he total mileage of the car is around 63,000 miles.
I tested it again this morning and the engine started right up and ran nice. The automatic transmission shifted in forward and reverse without any problems. I was able to parallel park the car when I was done.
Since I purchased it I changed the valve seals, nd replaced some gaskets, hanged the belt tensioner and the belt, uel injectors, park plugs, ir filter, nd a lot of hoses myself. I also removed and cleaned up the fuel distributor and re-installed it. I put 4 matching new tires on the car recently, nd the Mercedes factory rims are nice.
It has the normal parking lot door dings and some 2000 grit sanding scratches. It also has some clear coat lacquer over spray.
The brakes need work. I already changed the master cylinder and checked the brake vacuum line (last week), nd rotors and pads recently. I couldn't find anything unusual. The ABS light on the dashboard is working normally. I'm not a professional mechanic but I think it needs a replacement, rake booster ( the part is around $150 rebuilt on-line and delivered), nd the brake system re-bled again. It's possible there is still air in the break lines, ut I have no way of confirming it. The car must be picked up and taken by flatbed because of the brakes.
The air conditioning doesn't blow cold air, nd the tach stopped working. Someone told me the air conditioner compressor contains the tach sensor. I've never checked the air conditioner coolant, ut I'm sure it needs a charge. The trip counter stays at 000, nd the insulation in the engine compartment needs replacing. The power antenna has been replaced, nd there are some cracks from sun on the top of dash. The car also needs a simple catalytic converter put on (N.Y.S. doesn't check emissions on a car this old). The left and right rear window regulators don't work. It could be bad connections or require replacement. The Mercedes factory alarm has been disconnected, nd the SRS system light stays on. The broken factory radio was replaced with a Sony CD / MP3 unit.
The door lock pneumatic pump needs to be changed - I am including a replacement pump (it is located under the rear seat) and is very easy to replace. One turn signal light flashes fast, nd the window washer fluid nozzles need to be cleaned. This is a great project car because, ike an ass I did a lot of the work on it already without the time to enjoy the car.
For what it is, r isn't, t's still looks very nice inside and out, nd the parts on-line are available and very reasonably priced. I'm including in the sale a copy of a CD with the owners manual, nd a lot of the other service manuals.
