Description of 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 380SL

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THE BUY-IT-NOW BUTTON UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO PURCHASE THE CAR About five years ago, y business partner and I came across this beautiful 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL (Sporting Lightweight) car. It belonged to an elderly lady who told us she was ready to sell it as she could no longer drive as well as she used to. We snapped it up and put in in storage, tarting and driving it monthly to keep it ticking over. We recently decided to sell it, nd move it on to a lucky new owner. The car is a convertible, nd also has a hard top. The soft top is in great condition also. By the way, he small Mercedes name plate on the dash was given to Lucy (the lady who bought the car new) by Mercedes, nd asked us to please leave it on the car, hich we were happy to do. :) I have a clean and current California title in hand, s well as a clean Carfax. Please call or text 562-3I0-6932 and I'll be happy to answer any questions. Even when I was taking the pictures in preparation for this advert, passing gentleman stated "you're not really going to sell that car, re you?"... Well, e sadly are. Asking a very reasonable $8,000. The car is in beautiful condition (there are some flaws, nd I'll list them at the end, ut please bear in mind this is a 34 years old car). The paint is Anthracite Grey Metallic with Grey MB Tex interior which was a special German order at the time, aking it a pretty rare example. It's a genuine one owner car with only 94,500 miles. It runs and drives like new, ever fails to start - we actually have it on a battery tender to make sure the battery (which was just replaced with a new one) is kept charged perfectly. The vehicle is very original, aving the correct Mercedes glass all round and correct and proper VIN tags and labels. It has the period correct Becker cassette radio, nd even the little black storage bin in the rear is Mercedes and has its own part number stamped on it. The spare wheel has never been taken out of the trunk, t sports the original OEM tire and has the tag still attached. I have the original build/order sheet for the car, isting its purchase price as $40,056.00 (which includes a $670 charge for special paint and interior color), nd the original tool kit is also present and correct. Recent service items include new alternator, ater pump, attery, ir filter, elts, ngine and transmission oil, park plugsetc. The tires are almost new and are, f course, atching. The stainless and chrome trim on the car are almost perfect, s is the interior trim. Equipment includes power windows, ower door and trunk locks, C (switches on and operates, ay need a charge), ower steering, ower antenna, og lamps, ruise control, tc.
