Description of 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300D 2.5 Turbodiesel

A time capsule example of Mercedes at its best. This amazing example of the W124 model line is a 1992 model year built in 12/91. The 300D 2. 5L Turbodiesel engine is universally acclaimed as nearly indestructible and easily capable of 500. 00+ miles of life when properly maintained. Look closely at the many pictures detailing the quality of this car due to the previous owners love and care. The paint shines and reflects light beautifully showing bare minimum imperfections or stone chips. The interior has stood the test of time with negligible wear and most importantly this is a non smoker example. Under hood you'll find an almost spotless & oil free engine with all the original Cosmoline & cadmium plating present. It fires up with no issues upon overnight cold start. I left the vehicle sit outdoors for two days in 25-30 degree weather before attempting its first restart since acquiring it. No issues what so ever getting it to run on the first try. It settled into a nice idle within about one minute with no unwanted noises or smoking. Notice the pics showing all the dash lights and gauges working as designed both before and after cold starting. Many services completed by Mercedes dealers well throughout its lifetime. Note it has a brand new Mercedes battery under hood too. Additionally note the factory applied under hood insulation mat is completely intact. Without exception every factory power operated accessory works including the power sunroof in both retracting & rear tilting modes (slightly lazy retracting but I believe it's due more to the 25-30 degree outside temperature when checking upon listing date). ll power seat settings inc power adjustable headrests. ll power windows. entral locking. ower folding rear headrests. VAC functions inc auto fan speed settings and even the cruise control works too. The wooden sliding door for the center console sticks slightly but is fully intact and locks with the key. There are both a master key and valet key present. Most importantly all the factory owners manuals and service books are present. There are extensive service stamp verifications present and the car was just serviced up to the current mileage (validation sticker present on upper left corner of windshield) by a new car dealer in Pa. Walking around the car you'll notice every body panel is perfectly aligned and not a hint of corrosion is present above or below. It's apparent this car was garage kept by its owners. The wheels are just wonderfully preserved with hardly a hint of curb rash and surrounded by a BRAND NEW set of Michelin tires. In fact the full size spare tire is an original model Michelin that has barely if ever been used. Note the trunk pictures which show the original factory carpeted floor mats. full set of Mercedes winter mats and the original tool kit containing all the factory supplied tools in the ORIGINAL plastic storage bag !!!
