Description of 1975 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 2-Door Coupe

This car is a worthy project, just don't have time, nd I lost interest when I got the 450SL convertible, 'd rather work on that instead. So, need the 450SLC out of my driveway. I was told by the previous owner that it was running and driving when he parked it a few years ago, hich I believe to be true. The inside of the engine (when looking through the oil filler cap) is very clean, o obvious gunk. The engine will turn over, ut slowly, nd the jumper cables got hot, o I don't think it is getting good ground. I know that the car came out of Texas, nd was in California before that, ut I don't know any prior history.

I bought a set of the correct "bundt" wheels, nd put brand new tires on them, lso new center caps, o just the wheels and tires are about half of what I'm asking for the entire car. I don't have pics of the bottom of the car, ut it has rust damage underneath, nd there is a hole in the right hand side of the trunk which is pictured. I think that a previous owner put the "Euro" kit on it to cover up the rust, o be aware that this car will need lots of sheet metal repair down low. I was just going to patch it up a bit, eave the Euro kit on it, et it running, nd have a cheap driver that looks great from 20 feet away. Hard to believe that this car was almost $32,000 new. In today's dollars, hat's about $132,000!

There is a spare tire and wheel in the trunk, t is not a bundt wheel, ust a steel rim. Spare holds air. Also in the trunk, re the 4 wheels that were on it when I got it, ancy aftermarket wheels that the dealer sells when new. The four locking center caps and the key are included in the trunk as well. The front spoiler is not attached to the car, just sat it in place for the pics. I will put it inside the car for transport to the new owner. I do have the keys for it, ut the passenger door will not open from the outside, ou have to open it from the inside handle. Of course, one of the vacuum stuff will work, ince it hasn't been started in a couple/few years. (Remember, his IS a project car!)

Please note that the first pic where the paint looks good, as taken in the rain, ust so a prospective buyer can see that the paint will buff out pretty well, was just going to spot touch it in places, nd later on, o a full restoration. It sat underneath oak trees for years, o getting the sap off will take some time. The original color is gold, think it was called "Aztec Gold" or something like that, he last pic is of a paint code chip to show what the car should look like.

The leather interior, arpet, tc is pretty well done, t needs to be replaced as well. If you have any questions about the car's condition, sk! Or better, f you are anywhere near OKC, ust call and come see it in person BEFORE you bid or buy it! I have been a member of Ebay for about 18 years, DO NOT have any negative feedback, nd I don't want to start now! So, NOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING BEFORE YOU BUY IT!

Also, have an open dual axle 1-car trailer that I can deliver this car with, ut that will be extra money, ust give me a call if you are interested in a delivery quote. If you have any questions, ive me (Darrell) a call on my cell phone, 405) 650-2864. Thanks!
