This 380SL is a Consignment Vehicle that we are representing for the current owner. Here is your chance to own a MECHANIC'S SPECIAL 1985 Mercedes 380SL convertible. This Mercedes runs and drives as it is, ut needs some work to be 100% right and to pass State Inspection. The engine and transmission are solid with no internal issues and barely any fluid leaks, hich is rare for a car of this age! This car comes with both the hardtop and the soft-top, lthough the soft top canvas really needs to be replaced due to pin holes, ry rot and shrinkage. The car looks good inside and out with a nice solid body and good looking paint. The undercarriage is solid too. The interior is in good cosmetic condition with no rips or tears in the leather, lean carpet, ice door panels, ice dash, ice wood trim, nd a nice center console. The interior does have a mildew smell from water penetration into the cabin due to some leaking seals and leaking soft top. The engine runs, ut has a miss-fire and is hard starting (we have not diagnosed the cause). The car drives OK, ut pulls heavily to the right (alignment issue) especially when braking (seized calipers). The A/C compressor works (engages), ut the air is not cold (we have not diagnosed the cause for the leak in the system). The odometer does not work, o TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN (TMU). The radio does not work and the power antenna grommet is missing (allows water into the trunk). The passenger door won't lock with the key and there is no key for the trunk. All of the fluids need to be changed, s well as, he hood pad, ower steering resivoir cap, ipers, park plugs, uel evap hose, ear shifter bushing, ront brake calipers, rake pads, og light lense (hole in it), nd steering shock. This is a Mechanic's Special vehicle and would be a good candidate for a full restoration. WE ARE OPEN TO OFFERS SO CALL US!
