Description of 1982 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 240-D

1982 240D Mercedes Benz 4 door sedan diesel automatic - this is the 4 cylinder 5 main bearing one million mile engine. VIN#AB23A9CB303655 Model 123D eBaydoes not recognize this vin# so at the advice of eBay I entered all zeros in the section above.
Needs some work, has been sitting for 2 years. Runs but on non-op registration. Can be test driven on property.
Transmission is leaking from fill tube, radiator is broken at bottom. Again, it can be test driven on the property but needs these things repaired to be serviceable.
There are a variety of dents and dings and the interior is fair. Little to no rust as it is a California Car. Purchased about 18 years ago from second owner, used as daily transportation until 2012 or so. Put about 150,000 miles on car, very low maintenance needs. Parked when quit needing this car for daily transportation. Leaks developed during storage.
Need to sell due to financial need, otherwise would not be for sale, this would be easy to make into reliable transportation again, as it has been before. It is also the easy car to make into a 'grease car' or use biodiesel in as-is.
Must sell ASAP.
A little about us, the seller: we are a couple that enjoys trolling Thrift Shops and Yard Sales and we have an extensive collection of nifty things, some of which we use and some of which we pass along. Please check our other auctions and see the array of items we list. Our eBay sales help support our basic needs, as Chris is a service-connected disabled veteran (he has Dercum's Disease) and Diana is his needed caregiver. As we have time, Diana posts items on eBay. We live several miles from any town and have a small farm where we raise horses, sheep, goats, and poultry.
We support the Angelman Syndrome Foundation, Inc. with a small donation out of every sale because a good friend of ours has a child with Angelman Syndrome. If you go to the Angelman Syndrom Foundation, Inc. website, navigate to the 'Walk' and search for Evie Pettit you can see the Angel we support.
