Description of 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SEL

Washington State title. Vin# 108.068-12-002701 According to Washington State Department of Licensing, the Washington state title is clear with no liens or encumbrances. The vehicle was last registered in 1995. It has probably been sitting for about 10 years. The title is lost. If you intend to license the vehicle, most states have process to do so. You will receive a bill of sale from the seller (me). Check with your state's department of licensing to see what you will need to do to title the vehicle in your state. If you simply intend to use it for parts and do not intend to use the vehicle on the street, there is no reason to license the vehicle.
History:
Recently purchased from a private party for resale.
More Information:
The engine runs with no smoke or noise (video with audio of the engine starting and running upon request). Transmission goes in and out of Drive and Reverse. We did not drive the vehicle as the brakes do not work. The car seems to be 95%+ complete and original. The paint is shot, but it is original. The tires are weather checked but they hold air. No excessive play in the steering. Steering pump makes noise, but it may just need to be flushed with new fluid (ATF) and worked in. Some rust that any good body person can fix. Trunk lid looks like crap, but it's all surface rust.
The original carpeted floor pieces are in the trunk. Two of the four factory wheel covers are present, two are missing. All four original wheels are present and good. Seats are excellent except for the top of the back seat which is weather worn.
Odometer reads; 52,708
If I had the time and a good shop, I would never sell this car. I think it would make an excellent restoration project. Lots of fun and you'd end up with a classic!
