Description of 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This is a 1958 300d Adenauer. The most desirable of the Adenauer Sedans. Automatic, Fuel Injected, Automatic Transmission, 100% Original. Rare. Rust free. You can see the other 300d Adenauer cars that have been cleaned up for resale, this car is the best of them all and is one you want.
You are looking at a car that is fresh out of a four year storage. And, like I said, it is virtually rust free. They say that the West Texas dust will preserve a car from the elements, and here is your proof. This car has had the fuel pump professionally rebuilt, some of the wood has been refinished, and all it needs is a little more tender loving care and some cleaning. It appears to be 99.9% complete. It has all the wood (some refinished - see pics), original radio and all original gauges and interior trim (see pics), all 4 hubcaps are in the trunk with tools. All the trim and chrome is there. The only piece missing is the hood star!
This car has only 46,613 original miles. Original paint (very rare color). Original leather. The car came out of a collection four years ago. Like I said, the fuel pump was rebuilt and the car was serviced professionally and then the wood restoration began and now needs to be completed by you.
I posting this auction so my foreign buyers can see the car clearly in her current state and choose if they want to buy. If I were to clean her up and complete to wood refinish, this car would be a beautiful daily driver and would be worth over $40,000. You can buy it for half that price and clean it up yourself. I have more pics and will send them to anyone who calls me and asks. I do not have time to email unless you call me and we begin the buyer-seller dialogue.
I am in Texas. My hobby is in saving antique German cars (Mercedes, Porsche, etc); Italian cars (Ferrari, Maserati, Alpha, etc): and British cars (Jaguar, MG, Triumph, Lea-Francis, etc); including American classics and Muscle cars. I have many rare and unique cars available in various stages of restoration. Please call me to discuss.
I can handle International shipping with no problems. I will personally deliver to the shipper in Houston, Texas for you. This car will come with a clear title, keys, and a Bill of Sale.
It is for sale locally and this auction can be ended if you call me and want to complete a sale early. My number is 817-715-6163. Best regards and happy bidding.

Please look closely at the pictures carefully. You will see just how nice this car is under all that dust. Look under the dust in the engine bay, the engine is very shiny and clean. The owner spent upwards of $8,000 on the service to make it run and drive perfect. This car will not disappoint!
Please note, we have converted a few of these to cabriolets for our clients and this car is a great candidate for a cabriolet conversion. We have the molds for the Landau bars and the jig for the top frame. It is a simple conversion and the normal enthusiast will not know it is not an original cabriolet. We use all the factory parts that are available. It is a very nice finished product.
Mercedes only built 65 original cabriolets. These 65 cars have been available to purchase in today's market in the $300,000 to $500,000 price range. This car could be finished as a conversion for under $50,000. Call me at 817-715-6163 if you are interested in that type of finished product. Thanks, Peter
