Description for Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 1971

Here is a 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL Roadster I took in on trade. This is a local California car that has been sitting in a garage for over 20 years. This is an original car with original engine and transmission. I had the car towed directly to my warehouse, shot photos, and listed here on eBay. I don't specialize in old cars and truly don't know too much about them. You can tell the car has been painted at one time, but everything on the car is there which is great for a car like this. I am selling this car with no reserve so you can set your price based on condition and to ensure a sale. I haven't tried to start it, but I can tell the fluids are clean and I know the car definitely needs a new battery. I prefer to sell this car AS IS and let someone who knows these cars decide what to do with it.
Again, NO RESERVE so you can set your price! I have no problem if you come look at the car, have the car inspected, or have someone else check out the car for you. I am always around and will happily show the car with at least an hour notice. There are no rust issues as far as I can see, the interior is in amazing original condition, and the wood on the dash is very nice as well. It comes with the books, tools, spare, and the hard top.
Any questions please ask and I will respond quickly.
Thank you for stopping by and GOOD LUCK!

I have been asked a few times if the car has a soft top... Yes, the car has a soft top and it is dark blue. The top is in amazing shape and looks like it has been covered for a long time.
Thank you for all the interest and questions... Keep them coming and I will happily answer.
