You’re looking at a 1953 Mercedes Benz 300 ‘Adenauer’ very original sedan with Scwartz black exterior and original beige cloth interior. This car is a California garaged Mercedes. It was a California car since the 50’s. The title doesn’t show the miles since CA DMV does not put mileage on older car titles. Odometer shows only 43,329 miles.

This car is extremely rare and is 1 of 1776 sedans that was build in 1953. It was completed on August 4, 1953 and delivered new on September 3, 1953.

Mechanical

The car is in very original shape, most importantly with the original matching number engine. It has had a recent tune up and is in driving condition. Engine and transmission work great. These old 300’s are the Maybach’s of their day and one drive in one will make you understand and feel why. Odometer shows 69,717 KM. It still has miscellaneous services stickers from 1963 with the original handbook and other documents from the 60’s and early 70’s.

Exterior

The exterior of this car is solid and presentable. The paint has some imperfections. The trunk floor, floor panels, wheels arches, etc. are all solid. Jack points are also solid. There is some pitting in the chrome but is very presentable. The panel fit and door gaps are excellent for the most part except for the left front door which can use an adjustment. Doors open and close as they should with the original door handles. Original Bosch headlight trim is in place. The sills are solid overall and the windows are in great shape.

Interior

The interior is very original. All seats are fitted with covers except the rear cushion (cover is included). Comes with original front floor rubber mats as well. Everything is mostly original including the carpets, miscellaneous trim on door panels, headliner, and package panel trim. The dash wood, switch gear and radio are original as well. Also still have the original jack, lug wrench and centering bar.

This car is a great time capsule representation of what an Adenauer should be. You can either fully restore it to it’s former glory or just enjoy the way it is. It is very solid overall and would make a great drivers car or an excellent base to start a restoration with. I have a clear California title for this vehicle.

Please note, I want to make sure that you are absolutely satisfied with your purchase. Bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, don't hesitate to ask. Disclaimer

People have different opinions and expectations of older vehicles. It is your responsibility to personally inspect the vehicle or send a third-party inspector that will perform an inspection to your satisfaction. Remember, this vehicle is from the1980’s, and even though I’ve tried my best to describe it, it can have some imperfections which I’m not aware of, therefore they’re not in the description.

I’m saying this because I’ve had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that tried to extort money from me after the car was inspected and delivered! If you are buying and paying for this classic, please contact your transporter after vehicle is picked up and within 2 hours please give me a positive feedback!

This is your chance to own a great classic at a great price!
