This is a nicely kept 1987 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL sedan. the car has only 84,500 miles and presents itself very well. These big bodied Mercedeswhere the last of an era of Mercedes design. Later years they became larger externallyand more rounded in appearance. This one came out of Arizona and is currently in MontereyCalifornia. The paint has small hairline crazing marks from the Arizona sun and has a few small scratches.The interior is in very good condition with a nice patinato it. A few small cracks are present on the passengerseat. The leather is still very supple. the wood trim is also in great shape with a few common lacquer cracks here and there and lightend in color from the sun. The center consolearea is lose and needs some attention.The chrome alloy wheels are also in really good shape as most end up having peeling chromeproblems.The car runs and drives very nice with plenty of power. The car rides great, steers nicely, and stops as it should.It also passes the Californiasmog. These are wonderfulcars and a great way to have a classic car without the maintenancebills normally associatedwith classics. They drive great and are reliable. I personally own a 1991 300 sel that was sitting for 5 years where I work. They where going to scrap it but gave it to me instead. It started right up and I have added almost 8,000 miles to it in the few months I have owned it so far. This SEL is my bosses car an, after buying another daily, has asked me to help him find this one a new home.
