Originally delivered in Italy. this car was imported by CY's Imports for Hedwig Meyer in October of 1985. and has remained with the same owner since then. The car has all the original books (in Italian. of course) and the service book stamped with the initial delivery inspection. There is also a ticket from the Autostrade. Complete importation documentation is included - originals and copies - including EPA exemption. DOT paperwork. NHTSA letter. bill of sale. copies of checks. etc. etc. The car is in excellent original condition inside and out. It drives smoothly and the A/C works great. The hardtop and softtop are both in very good condition. The car has very clean all original paint with the exception of a spot blemish on the passenger fender (pictured) where some oil dripped on the paint during the boat trip from Italy. The books. the top tools with their original case. the spare tire and jack. and all receipts are included with the car. The service history is complete back to 1985 when it was imported. It was maintained fastidiously and any service beyond basic maintenance was performed at a local vintage Mercedes specialty shop. The car has been driven sparingly and stored properly. and is extremely clean underneath. For example. the owner had a stainless steel exhaust installed in 1996 (21. 20 miles) and everyone who has looked at the underside of the car (18 years later) has remarked. "Hey. new exhaust".
