1982 was the first year Mercedes introduced a turbocharger for the gorgeous W123 series coupe . These cars were already known for being very reliable and economical . Now with the added horsepower they were also plenty of fun for every day driving .This 300CD is a one owner car . It has always been garaged and pampered and it shows. It was ordered in Champagne ( MB color code 473) with Palomino color leather interior . The paint and the chrome are in amazing condition all around . It is hard to believ, that this car is already 36 years old. The interior is super clean as well . The seats have always had seat covers on them . There are no rips or tears on the still soft leather . The dashboard is perfect and free of cracks. Even the wood accents still shine and show perfect. Carpets, headliner and door panels are clean and look like on a much newer very elegant car.This car looks very elegant and it always sticks out wherever you take it. The original owner always kept it maintained very well and she kept all the service records and books to prove it. This car always starts up right away and has plenty of power from start. It is a true pleasure to drive in town and on the freeway at 90 miles an hour. All the gauges work properly. The climate control works the way it should. The original radio has been replaced with a newer unit functioning well with the power antenna . All the door lock, sunroof and power windows work . The Bridgestone tires have less than 5000 miles on them . The oil was changed regularly and the valves have been adjusted.This could be a wonderful car for somebody who would want to drive it every day. I could not think of any mechanical issues and would not hesitate to drive it to the east coast on short notice. It gets 27 miles per gallon of diesel and is easy to maintain.With only one lady owner from new and the service history and books it would also be a great addition to any classic car collection. It still even has the original CA title from the eighties. Please look at all the picture, they can describe this wonderful classic car better than i can.I would actually prefer to sell this 300CD to somebody local who could actually come out and see it . But i would also be willing to help with an airport pick up or shipping arrangements for any out of town winning bidders. All shipping fees to be paid by the new owner of course.Please have your funding in order and do all your " due diligence" BEFORE placing a bid. This is a wonderful 36 year old classic Mercedes and it will be sold WITHOUT a warranty "as is" and " where is" .
