Up for auction is a very rare 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Roadster Convertible. Only 1,460 of these vehicles were made, which 1963 was the first year the model was made. This particular vehicle was number 1159. The car is completely there with the hard top and convertible, except for one headlight lens. This vehicle is in decent shape considering its age. The car was in storage under cover for around ten years. We recently pulled it out, put new tires on it and fired up the engine. Other than the exhaust the engine sounded great. That was the extent of the work done to it. The vehicle would be great for someone looking to bring it back to original condition.
