Description of 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Matte Brown

1982 Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel

Light Ivory, color code 623, with Palomino leather interior; exterior trim is Matte Brown, color code 8414.

Owned and well-maintained in the last twelve years by a long-time Mercedes enthusiast. As one of the better, more reliable models ever made by Mercedes, this car has 174,081 miles with many more to go. It's incredibly nice to drive.

Interior is in very good condition - newer Blaupunkt CD player/radio.

Dash, headliner, and woodwork are excellent; sunroof, antenna, all power windows and power seats work. Transmission consistently serviced, all hoses and belts and mounts replaced. (Extra belts and hoses included). Runs well on bio-diesel (B-20) and gets approximately 27 mpg. This carhas not beenconverted to straight vegetable oil, (SVO).

Any minor issues and maintenance such as vacuum lock system, climate control, valves, brakes and tires were addressed whenever needed. New front tires with 3,000 miles on them.

Original paint in great condition, although front doors have been touched up and repainted to eliminate dings. Upholstery in good condition, some sun fading on front seat backs and front armrest; front seat bottoms have been re-dyed - driver's seat shows some wear. (Seat covers could be the answer here).

The car was purchased in Southern California in 2006 and all maintenance records are available for the last twelve years of ownership.Original window stickershows the car was priced at $39,499.00.

As is typical of Mercedes construction for cars of this era, it is massively solid with lots of heavy, shiny chrome trim. Built to cruise on the Autobahn and keep passengers safe with its solid construction. Some mechanics consider the 300SD the best example of operational reliability ever produced by Mercedes.

The car is located in Eugene, Oregon and is being sold as-is, where-is. Please feel free to email with any questions. As the seller, I would be happy to help in arranging transport, if necessary. A deposit 0f $500.00 is required within 48 hours of end of auction.
