This is a beautiful, 1988, 560SL in the process of a very light restoration. A California car and garaged it's whole life! By light I mean very minor cosmetics. For example, I replaced the visor clips, door sill rubber, a few interior screws, etc. I bought the car recently but need to sell to buy son getting ready for college a different car. He doesn't want to drive this SL. Thinks it looks old! The car sat for a while when I purchased it and the battery was dead. It was garaged. The fuel pump kept cutting out too. I took it to All German Auto and they replaced all the fuel pumps needs, etc. Cost, including fluid changes and minor fixes was $1046.59. I have many service records with this car. It appears to have been well cared for over the years. The transmission was rebuilt at 115,600 miles. It has just over 131,000 but the odometer stopped working last year. The last odometer reading was when it was smogged in 2015 at 130,620. I was not driven much since then. I have not smogged the car yet. It has a few small dings, one in the bumper shown in a photo. The soft top needs canvas replaced. Dash has a small, hairline crack you can't see in photos. Very common. I looked at several before buying this SL. All at the same price were not of this quality. Cars run and drive well. Idles a bit high in my opinion. I have a new battery cut off installed. Car shows well. I have no problem allowing a mechanic to come to inspect. I encourage this!
