Description of 1976 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

1976 Mercedes-Benz 280 Sedan. Last year of the legendary w114 series. Beautiful Astral Silver with Blue MB Tex interior. Power windows and sunroof. Working factory A/C converted to r134a. Carbureted m110 280 6 cylinder engine runs beautifully and we just serviced it with new oil. filters and spark plugs. Transmission shifts properly and on time with no slipping. Odometer shows 76. xx miles but is most likely 176. x miles. Body is straight. This car had been repainted with a light restoration about 12 years ago in it's original Astral Silver metallic finish. Excellent paint quality showing very little flaws over the years. No visible rust damage on body or undercarriage. Beautiful blue interior finished in MB Tex vinyl. Seats are in excellent condition with no tears or sun damage and are supportive with no broken springs or padding deterioration. Excellent original headliner. Small crack in the dash from the California sun. Wood has been refinished and looks great. While not a show quality car. this is a very good driver better than most of it's peers on the road. The car comes with a California Salvage title due to a insurance "total loss" settlement from paint vandalism approx 15 years ago prior to restoration.
