Description of 1986 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series

Read full description before bidding. This is a 29 year old car and will need minor restoration. It is a very solid car! Comes with previous NH registration and bill of sale. No title (not needed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire). I apologize for snow pictures but we are having an epic winter here in Massachusetts. Selling my 1986 Mercedes 560sel. The big Benz. Mercedes flagship car from the 80's! Own a legendary. over-engineered German V8 beast! Bought to restore to perfect condition but it's just too big for my driveway with all this snow and the truth is I just don't have the time now. Car is in overall great condition. It has 197k miles on it but it is a 29 year old antique so it will need some work. Body is in overall great shape. Has rust on the left and right front fender in front of wheel arch. Pretty typical. Very small rust spot (dime sized or smaller) on the left side door. Undercarriage in great shape. The chrome is phenominal. trunk is dry and has no rust. The interior is in great shape and really held up well. No major cracking or tears in door panels. seats. etc. Has new Goodyear Ultragrip Snow tires on it (does not come with summer tires). Has aftermarket stereo with MP3 plug in installed. Brand new battery installed and brand new window motors installed. Bad stuff. Rust mentioned above on front fenders. The car will need the fuel distributor rebuilt or replaced. The car will lose power after warmed up. Doesn't stall but bogs down when attempting to accelerate. A fuel distributor rebuilt from Larry at CIS in Atlanta is $499. 95 (sending this one out). Used ones can be had on ebay in the $250-300 dollar range without warranty. The car does leak gas at the rear in filler neck area. appears to be either fuel filter or pump seal. Car should be towed with the fuel issue. Again. this is a 29 year old classic car. Engine is smooth and quiet. transmission shifts great. nbsp;body and interior real nice. The car shifts smooth. electrics work for windows and lights and gauges. The sunroof works but could use lubricating or adjusting. Get the fuel system sorted and it will be good for another 197k miles!!! Comes with previous NH registration and bill of sale which is all that is required to get it registered in NH or Massachusetts. Please do your own research on this before bidding as different states have different laws for titling. Again. a great solid resto project in New England. Big body classic Benz that turns heads everywhere. Surely going up in value as they age!
