Description of 1972 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

This is a 1972 Mercedes Benz 280SE 4. 5. . It was in long term storage for many many years when I got it and had not run for who knows how long. . I drained the tank put some gas in the tank . Fired right up. Drove it up and down the road. Don't think I would go much farther before going thru it a bit more. Tuneup. check hose. belts. change fluids and so on. The brakes are pretty soft. After sitting in storage for over 14 years. that is expected. This is a California car owned by an older lady. It has been very well maintained over the years. riginal paint. Which looks better in pics than in person. Much better. The top of the right front fender is faded. There are chips . ubbles and bad paint all over the car. Top to bottom. So it needs paint. But there is no rust. As my guy who looked it over for me said. not a fleck of rust" . Don't know about that. but it is a beautiful body. Top to bottom. And that is most everything with old cars. Doubt there are many out there still a nice as this one is for the money. The interior is very nice with not much wear and tear at all. The wood on the dash top below the windshield is old and cracked. But there is a nice replacement in the trunk. The odometer shows 67. 00 miles or so. I can not guaranty that. but looking at the foot pedals. the armrests. door panels and the driver's seat. I would be inclined to say that is the actual miles. But I have been wrong before. The car runs. drives and stops. Kind of. The power windows work. The wipers work. The radio works. But I have yet to figure out the door locks. I got the driver's door to open and close from both the inside and out. But not the other 3. I imagine it is poor vacuum somewhere in the lines that are probably a bit dried out from sitting so long. Probably after sitting nearly 15 years in storage. they have forgotten how to. The chrome all around the car is excellent. The windshield has a couple chips in it. The headliner is excellent. It will not take much to drive this car down the highway again. These are great road cars for very reasonable money. Always start with the best body you can. And this fits the bill. Local inspection and pickup here in Prescott. Arizona is encouraged. And I travel around the country with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it close to you. Though not so much this time of the year where the white stuff is flying. And arranging overseas shipping is no problem. Full payment must be received within 5 days of auction end. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions or need any different pictures
