Description of 1989 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

We're selling my wife's beautiful 1989 Mercedes 560SL convertible. She is the second owner. the color is Smoke Silver (code 702) with Dark Brown (code 273) interior, the combination is very striking.Details:In the early Spring I had a full transmission service including the transmission filter and fluid. Oil change and filter.Rear differential service with fluid. All new brake calipers and rotors for all 4 brakes with new pads, wear sensors.New valve cover gaskets and plastic valve rocker drippers. Thetiming chains were in spec and the mechanic said he saw no issues. We had the air conditioning serviced this past July which included evacuation of the the system and recharged with 134A refrigerant. It blows cold now. There is a small area of (around 1.5 inches)rust on the muffler but in no way does it effect the function of the exhaust. The car starts easy and runs great. It has nice linear power and of course the brakes work perfectly. The automatic transmission shifts smooth and functions properly with up shift and downshifts.Steering is direct and straight with no vibration or pulling. The glass is fine, the chrome is excellent for 30 years old.The paint is original and has wonderful luster there are some minor imperfections on the front hood and some other small areasas would be expected for original paint that is 30 years old.Horn, wipers, head lights, tail lights, brake lights and blinkers work as designed. No warning lights are illuminated. The original convertible soft top is in excellent condition and the clear plastic windows are clear and without cracks. The power windows work perfectly. The original hard top is excellent as is the interior head liner. The interior is in excellent overall shape however as you noted there is a wear spot on the drivers side upper bolster. The wood trim on the console is in remarkable shape with no chips or cracks. The trunk is clean and free from rust. The spare tire I believe is original and if so, it's never been on the ground. The tool kit is complete and unused. The radio is not original and does not work, I have never looked into having it fixed however it is a modern unit with bluetooth. The underside of the 560SL is clean but used gently. There is no rust of any significance on the underside. The original owner's manual, window sticker and other original MB pamphlets are included with the car (see photo). If there are any particular photos you'd like or questions I'll be happy to answer them. Available for inspection anytime.I don't believe you could find a overall nicer 1989 560SL for the price. The car is for sale locally and the auction can end at anytime.AutoCheck is wrong, we have the original documentation to prove ownership from new. The car was in the same family since new until our purchase last year.It has 52600 miles verified with Mercedes Benz service history data (directly from MB) and service receipts.
Car is sold "as is" and transportation is the buyers responsibility. The car can be stored for 2 weeks payment is completed
