Description of 1959 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

A very well loved and well maintained classic. Restoration was completed by 2006 and she has been garaged and maintained, in the dry desert climate in NV, ever since. Comes with both hard and soft tops. The soft top is an espresso brown. Weber twin carbs were added in place of the Solex. Matching wheels add to the allure of this beautiful machine. Manual transmission. The fuel system has been cleaned, including the tank, the fuel lines, the Weber twin carbs, and an electric fuel pump was added all within the last few months before it started it's journey from NV. She is now residing in her garage in South Carolina.

The car was purchased from a gentleman in Mobile, AL. The interior had already been restored, lap belts were added. Weber twin carbs had already been installed. The body was in good condition it needed paint and some mechanicals. European Motor Cars did the engine work. Arnone's Auto Body did the paint, Chrome work (outsourced) new canvas for the top (outsourced). A lot of parts and trim work came from SLAutohaus in Reston, VA via Ron Rapp. The one and only mechanic that has touched this car since the resto, is also the mechanic that maintained the car collection at the Museum in the Imperial Palace (Las Vegas), that's how I found him. He collects Porsches, but I don't hold that against him. $75,500 or more, gets it.
