Description of 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series *Euro Diesel Wagon*300TD*3rd Row Seats*NO RESERVE!

1985 Mercedes-Benz

300TD Wagon

Exceptionally rare and highly sought after 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon. This W123 Turbodiesel Wagon combines the bulletproof reliability of the OM617 iron head engine with a powerful turbocharger.Only Mercedes diesels produced in 1981 to 1985 offered this extremely robust combination of reliability and performance. 1985 represents the final year of production for this iconic Mercedes, and these are arguably the most desirable of the W123 Turbodiesels.Only in 1985 did W123 wagons receive a much taller rear axle ratio to boost economy along with a higher torque converter stall speed to help the turbocharger boost more rapidly. Both of these additions created a greatly improved driving experience over the versions of previous years.

This particular W123 300TD is a very rare European Import (VIN: WDB1231931F042125) and incorporates many features not typically found on these wagons including thinner and more elegant front and rear bumpers, a driver’s side Air Bag and true (not MB Tex) leather heated seats. This wagon also comes equipped with the very desirable rear-facing third-seat option with three-point seatbelts as well. I can say with great confidence that you will likely never come across a similar factory-loaded W123 300TD like this ever again!

This wagon has always been very well maintained, and starts immediately with the turn of the key.Recent service includes a valve adjustment, fresh oil change and filter replacement, and new primary and secondary fuel filters. The 3.0L Inline 5 cylinder Turbodiesel engine produces excellent power, and shifts are precise and timely. The steering is tight and the brakes are firm. All options on this wagon work aside from the power windows. The climate control system works but the A/C will need servicing in order to blow cold. The compressor appears to be working and the air is cool, but not cold, indicating that it will likely require a recharge. The vacuum door locks work, but take time to descend.

The body is in very good condition and anthracite grey paint shines nicely and looks great against the black full leather interior. The underside is clean and dry. The only corrosion on this wagon is limited to a few small areas along the weather seals on the lower part of a couple of the doors. This wagon smells clean on the inside and there are no leaks, including the sunroof.Original manuals are included along with factory floor mats. This Turbodiesel wagon is turn-key ready, extremely safe and reliable and an absolute blast from the past to drive!

Although in very good condition overall, this is a vintage car and will naturally show signs of use and age. Please refer to the more than 130 high resolution pictures that I have of the car below.Additionally, complete walk-around videos of the wagon can be viewed through the links below:
