About this vehicleThis 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300TD is an original. One family owned. The current owner has had it for less than1 year. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver.Seller's NotesNo surprises here!Fully disclosed...Ask questions..SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES STATED OR IMPLIED.Vehicle Details

This is a 1985 MB300TD that I bought very recently for my niece who needs a car as she recently got her drivers license. Unfortunately for me...she would have no part of driving a station wagon and is holding out that her parents will support her decision for a different car!

This car is a survivor. It has very low miles and has many many more to go.. The engine runs strong and is the strength of this car. It accelerates with a lot of power easily and shift’s smoothly. Numerous engine upgrades with new parts have been recently installed by the previous owner to include a valve adjustment and vacuum lines. Additionally,4 new tires ( the spare is adequate but not new and is mounted on a Mercedes Bundt wheel), the Bundt wheels look amazing with a recent respray to factory original color, new breaks and break lines and rotors. A new alternator, water pump and brand new radiator were recently installed. A brand new battery, front shocks, lower arm bushings motor mounts and transmission mount have been installed.

At some point in its previous life it has had a respectable respray in the same Mercedes original color...Champagne metallic... A beautiful gold color! There are a few small bubbles but none that come through the paint.

The interior is MB Tex Palomino. It is in decent to good condition. The driver seat is slightly sagging to one side but when sitting in it, it feels adequate. The door trim is frayed in multiple places. The dash has cracks and past attempts have been made to address it... not so successfully in my opinion.... but as a driver car it will suffice.

The instrument panel functions as it should with the exception of the tachometer which does not work. The car reportedly has a new modern radio but it does not play.... It will not power up (probably something simple).

All windows go up and down as they should. The headlights and fog lights work. The interior courtesy lights donot work. The backup lights do not work. All turn signals and break lights work as they should.

The body of the car has had some rust repair in the front floor panels. This repair, although functional, and essentially unnoticeable, should be disclosed to the prospective new owner. Will the repair suffice for a daily driver? Absolutely!

That’s about it... This car is a survivor... It’s next long life will be for a beautiful (head turning) and reliable daily driver that will elicit many accolades.

ALL IT REALLY NEEDS IS TLC for the few things that don’t work.., but most importantly... nothing under the hood needs anything!

BE SURE TO SEE THE AUTO CHECK SCORE...
