Description of 1985 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 380

I purchased the car 2 years ago and had it garaged ever since. I get compliments whenever I drive it around town. The wheels are gorgeous and the tires are brand new. Great Car! I'm the 3rd owner of this 1985 Mercedes SL. It's red with a black soft top and a red hard top. The soft top is about 2 years old. The paint is original and in good condition. New timing chain one year ago. new battery less than 6 months ago. There are scratches around the area where the hard top would be inserted from wear and tear. There is also a 2" scrape on the front hood. no dent but paint is affected. The inside looks good. all leather is intact but does show some wear. There is a rust spot (about 2") near the front headlight that previous owner painted over but is slightly raised. The ABS light was on when I purchased the car and took it to a brake shop where they replaced the master cylinder. hoses. and the back brakes. They told me to take it to mercedes to have them turn off the ABS light but I never got around to it. I had the weather stripping around the front windshield replaced but the windshield just recently cracked while sitting in the garage. probably from the removal during that time. The only reason why I'm selling is because I'm planning to open up my own medical practice and need all the funds I can get. It's a great car and otherwise I would keep it.
