| 1967 Mercedes Benz 230SL V8 Conversion This 1967 230 SL is an attractive and very usable example of a Mercedes-Benz iconic Pagoda. It started life as a 230 SL but subsequently has been upgraded to a much more powerful European spec Mercedes 5. 0 L V8 by a long term owner that wanted a more relaxed Highway touring car with all the comforts and plenty of power. A three-year project by professional Mercedes-Benz technician resulted in a very special car. All parts used were Mercedes-Benz genuine. all fabrication work has been done in a professional grade and engine compartment looks factory correct. As we all know looking correctly its not always the same as working correctly and many such conversions never seem to be finished to 100% driveable and usable level. This 230SL has working air-conditioning. power steering. a 3. 27 differential for superb highway cruising. brake system was upgraded to a four wheel disc brake and a 280SL brake master cylinder. All gauges work and are correctly calibrated. even the clock keeps perfect time! Original never rusted undercarriage and excellent panel gaps and panels. Nice quality paint and bright work. with a few imperfections here and there. Very nice interior with newer carpet and seat upholstery. Michelin tires are like new.
