Description of 19620000 Mercury Comet

this is the very rare s-22 comet with the nice fins - this is the 2nd one I have owned and it's time to sell it and some others in my collection. I started reducing the collection last year and this year the goal is to get down to 10. I am going to use this money and a lot more to get another s-22 comet - but this one will be a convertible - most of my collection are convertibles and even though I say I need some hard tops - the sad truth is they never leave the garage as I am a convertible guy. so this comet has a door tag of 62c - 2 door s-22

x - black cherry metallic exterior paint - it's now maroon

54 - vinyl beige interior - still this and still in great shape

24l - built nov 24th - 3 - 3.20:1 - non - locking rear axle ratio - last # is 3 which is 2 speed automatic transmission

car runs good - starts right up by turning the key - interior is very nice - exterior is nice - has been repainted from it's original color - it shows 54k miles and that is what it should be - I was told it was original when I got it - and looking at the car I have o reason to doubt it

no rot on the outside or in the trunk - frame is great - a little surface you can see in the pictures fro the floors - everything looks to be original - when I got it, t had a holly carb, found and original carb and had it put in by a mechanic - the air filter doesn't fit - I bought one off ebay and that doesn't fit either - I will give you the 2 air filters and maybe you can get them to fit - one is a red powder coated one I bought off ebay.

this is a hard car to find and I am selling it with no reserve - so if you bid you can own it - no problem shipping it - car is registered in my name and rhode island is a non title state - so I have to give you a bill of sale and my actual registration and your dmv will issue you a title. some other countries require a notarized bill of sale and that is not a problem either as I can get it notorized

this is a sweet car - it's not perfect - but it's a very nice low mileage car - I am going to be spending almost 3 times the amount to get the same thing in a convertible - but that's okay as it's what I want

any questions just ask

forgot to add I have the original keys also with the comet symbol on them
