You are bidding on a rare 1963 Mercury Comet! The Car was painted last year dodge viper red with a matt clear to give it that old school look...in the sun the red is so bright (unlike other matt paints) has all the original chrome. I have 500 if not less on the new tires installed. Replaced rear shocks with air shocks, ront and rear brakes and drums all new with in 6 months, o play in front end (balljoints..etc.),Windows tinted to 5% which i thank gives it a great look but can be removed, nterior is a 9 out of 10 all oem except carpet and steering wheel. Exterior is about a 8 out of 10 with a few very small paint defects that are hardly noticeable. The comet has no rust at all under neath just a little overspray from the paint job..would rec. undercoating vehicle. The car came with a 170 straight six which was super reliable...i drove this thing from West Virginia (where i live) to pigeon forge rod run twice and to nc car shows as if it was a daily. Car gets tons of looks any where it goes. With the car having only 41492 miles since 1963 there was gaskets that was leaking on the 170 so i decided to do the 302 swap...well due to economy my plans has been cut short and sadly have to try to sell my 1st car ive ever owned. The car is a buy as is and comes with no warranty...vehicle has no motor no trans. and is ready for the v8 swap of ur choice! I have a parts list of my plans if buyer wants of the research ive did on parts needed for the 302/289 swap. The comet comes with rear end and drive shaft. I have other odd and end parts to the vehicle as well that is included like the oem steering wheel, adiator and charging system. Buyer will need to make arrangements to pick vehicle up. This is no rust bucket by no means and is super rare for this year ive only seen 2 in person and ive been going to national car shows for years. I can email more pictures if needed.
