Description of 1968 Mercury Cougar

Selling from private collection this documented (Marti report) 1968 Dan Gurney CougarCar is a solid example and body and under carriage straight. Car has been in the south all it's life and was taken delivery in Georgia. Unlike many base Cougars this baby sports a 390 (not a 289 or 302) that was professionally rebuilt and has less than 5000 miles on it. Also included is a very responsive and smooth shifting merco-matic C6. Dual Exhaust is new with turbo mufflers. The interior is in excellent condition and has been redone. Seats. headliner. rugs all in new condition. Paint is ford gray originally car was red. There is just too many new things to list and the car runs and drives as it should. The 390 originally was an A/C car and is not on the motor but I have all original components. Much of this cars condition is to original OEM and not gummed up with modifications. The front tires do rub in deep turns and is an easy fix. Have not made the change as the tires are like new. New Bluetooth radio and gauges. This car is close to 50 years old so set expectations accordingly. Most things work as they should but this car is a nice driver that is a terrific investment. Again. there is far to much into this car to waste time with silly offers. The car in it's condition books over 20k. The cougar is one of the nicest. yet least appreciated muscle car of this period. The value will only go up and this car is a very nice example. My loss your gain. Car is currently registered in GA and will come with GA bill of sale and signed registration only. I have an old title number but GA does not require titles Car is being sold as is and locally so I will end auction if I sell locally.
