Description of 1969 Mercury Cougar

1969 Mercury Cougar. Dark Aqua – color code F. (Car was originally Light Aqua – Color code E). for sale. You have to see this car to truly appreciate. This generation Mercury Cougars is the rarer. more luxurious car when compared to the Mustang and it shares many parts. It had an air of sophistication that the Mustang did not have. This car was restored in 2001 and still looks beautiful. The Arizona car was soda blasted to bare metal. It has all original sheet metal. floors. and torque boxes and the largest patch on the car is 2”x2”. It has approximately 3000 miles since it the restoration. Motor was professionally re-built and new AOD with 4. 11 gears was installed (see below for details). The car has won Best Paint at the Cougar Nationals. The paint still shows deep reflections all around. Interior is beautiful with re-upholstered 70 high back seats. The original 69 low back seats are included if the new owner wants to keep the car original. Car was originally delivered with AC. but this was removed to accommodate the rebuilt motor. (we have the AC parts if the new owner wants to re-install). It pains me to sell this car. but I don’t drive it much and I need the room. The car is extremely fast.
