1973 MERCURY COUGAR XR-7 TRIPLE WHITE CONVERTIBLE WITH ONLY 30K MILES
Up for sale is this all original, very solid 2nd Generation Q-Code XR7. It has been in California since bought new at Kerley Lincoln-Mercury in San Jose and is completely rust free. The previous owner acquired it in 1975 and took obsessive care of it mechanically. The Hankook tires are new and the brakes have new calipers and hoses. The gas tank has been replaced as well as the radiator and hoses. The battery is new and water pump has been changed out with all new hoses. The timing chain and gears are new as well. 1973 was the last year the Cougar was built on the Mustang platform and the last year for convertibles in this era. There were only 3164 convertibles built in 1973. This vehicles VIN is 3F94Q524025. It was built in Dearborn in 11/1972 as an XR-7 Convertible with a CJ351C V8 Cleveland power plant and a C-6 Select-Shift 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. The CJ351C features 9:1 compression a 4 Bbl carb and Dual Exhaust. As can be seen in the video this vehicle is rock solid and runs great. It needs only new paint and bumpers to be a very sharp classic vehicle. The interior is in very nice condition with vinyl upholstery that has embossed leather Cougar bucket seats. Equipped with Factory Air but it is not currently blowing cold as vehicle has been sitting for some time and will need A/C service.
The car is currently garaged at our business in Glassport PA 15045 (near McKeesport) and can be picked up there on a 24/7 basis. We have a clear title in hand ready to transfer to the new owner. The reserve is very low, so bid to own this great classic. In order to be fair to all bidders we do not disclose the reserve and will run the auction to completion.
Terms of sale are $200 deposit viaPayPal at the close of the auction with the balance to be paid by wire transfer. E-mail any questions or call me at (724)502-0035 and we will be happy to answer.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
